Sonido De La Frontera is the combination of Soundsystem culture, Hip-Hop production aesthetic, and the sounds of Latin America's most prolific dance music: Cumbia. The result is a bass oriented, dance driven music with a sound unique to the border between San Diego, California and Tijuana, Mexico.

There are trance DJs who can rock a party, a club, a festival. And there are acts that can write songs that will bring out the goose bumps in you. But there's only one band that can do both: Above & Beyond. This three piece have remixed Madonna, won Essential Mix of the Year, and played to one million people in Rio de Janeiro. More importantly they've written songs with the power and the melody to en-trance that one million-strong crowd, many of who were singing along, word for word.

Since Kissy himself claims to owe a lot of his early success to the support he received from DJs such as Simian Mobile Disco, Headman, DJ Touché, The Loose Cannons, Eddy Temple Morris and Tommie Sunshine, Kissy has insisted on championing unsigned artists and new independent producers as much as he can on his radio shows, festival appearances and press interviews.

R.A.W. (aka 6BLOCC) is known for his relentless techniques behind the wheels of steel. Getting his start back in 1985, this dj is no amateur when it comes to tuntablizm. He was already battling local djs in Los Angeles before the modern dj culture was even created. In 1988 he made his move into the hip hop game with 2 vinyl releases under the name PROJECT X which featured Brooklyn MC, SILKSKI.

In a city known for cut throat vicious cameramen, one specific Paparazzi stands out, leading the nightlife scene of Los Angeles, the supposed new hub of electronic music, this is no photographer, but 24 year old Cesar Rios, DJ Paparazzi.
Paparazzi is part of a new breed of DJ who knows just as much about the business as they do about the music. Paparazzi has graced the lineups of festivals such as Coachella and San Francisco's BFD and is constantly traveling for gigs.

Paul Oakenfold’ musical career started from admirably humble beginnings, playing soul and rare groove cuts in a Covent Garden wine bar in the late ‘eventies with mate Trevor Fung. By the early ’eighties, having decided that NYC was the place, Paul decamped there armed only with the chutzpah to blag his way into a courier’ job in West Harlem. At that time, more than any other, New York was bursting with musical invention: hip-hop was the freshest street sound around, and Larry Levan – arguably the first ever superstar DJ, inspiring a frenzy in the crowd that some guy playing records had never inspired before – was packing out the Paradise Garage every week with the revolutionary, hypnotic mixing style that would become the acid house DJ’ stock in trade.

Dave Audé is on time and on track. His programming, professionalism and beats all reflect his characteristic ease within the realm of mathematical, electronic music. With more than 12 years as a veteran producer and DJ, Dave has produced, remixed and listened to a shitload of records. Like a Ph.D.-educated archeologist uncovering ancient treasures, Audé expertly distinguishes classics from worthless sound shards.

Beatnick's love affair with music began at a young age with the heavy rotation of his parents' disco records (breaking their record player) and staying up late on weekends to listen in on DJ mix shows in grade school.
